Having been an active member of almost every committee and having been
chairman of several, Tom Wajda has proven his ability to identify
problem areas, seek input from affected areas and promote the best
possible solutions. Tom Wajda is a team player, who knows that knowledge
cannot rest with one person or even one group. Tom knows that the best
answer is the result of exhaustive research into all possible solutions.
Tom has made listening an active part of his interaction with staff,
professionals, contemporaries and residents. You can bank on the fact
that a problem brought to Tom is one that will be addressed,
investigated and eliminated. Tom doesn't have a magic wand to make every
problem instantly disappear, but Tom does have the respect of people,
groups and organizations at all levels, which enables him to be able to
ask the tough questions and get the straight answers. His dedication to
thoroughly reading every page of every proposal, ordinance and contract
presented to him has not only increased his overall knowledge of these
crucial documents, but has made him the "go-to" man.
The future of our Village is just too important to leave to anyone, but
the most qualified and most experienced. Anything less
would result in a learning curve that we cannot afford. Developers send
in only their most knowledgeable representatives and we, as a Village,
need to be sure that our "elected" representatives can meet the
challenge head on.
